8/7/26 Dear Parents and Carers, Due to the forecast extreme temperatures of up to 31°C on Thursday and 33°C on Friday, we have made the decision to close the school at 1.00 pm on Thursday 9 July and Friday 10 July. During last week’s hot weather, classroom temperatures became extremely uncomfortable, particularly during the afternoon. As we have no air conditioning to help reduce indoor temperatures, we believe this is the most appropriate decision to safeguard the wellbeing of our pupils and staff. School will be open as normal each morning, with all pupils to be collected at 1.00 pm on both days. Please note that After-School Club will not be available on Thursday or Friday. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and support. We wanted to provide families with as much notice as possible to make any necessary arrangements.
