Please find below a letter and some information about a local youth group.
Hi, I’m Margo, a member at Llanfechain’s youth group The Woodcraft Folk. I’m writing this letter to tell you about our group and I’m not sure where to start! It’s fun, inclusive and the year ahead is packed tight with super exiting activities and trips. I’m a venturer at the group (which means that I’m slightly older than a pioneer who are slightly older than the Elfin’s). My fellow ventures and I organised the annual fundraising disco that took place at the start of February, it was a roaring success with everyone looking fantastic in their intergalactic themed costumes.
At woodcraft folk we are a family, (a family always happy to welcome new members!) we are looking forward to all sorts in the coming year, we are going to be planting trees, climbing, camping, gardening, hiking, working towards some badges and generally having an amazing time filled with laughter, games, songs and hopefully new friends! We meet up every Friday in term time at 5pm in Llanfechain village hall, but this Friday we have a special session that starts at 4pm, planting trees nearby (with hot chocolate too of course!) so please come along and join us, we look forward to seeing you there!
