Dear Parents and Carers, We hope you all enjoyed a restful and enjoyable half-term break! It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school this week, and we’re delighted to see their enthusiasm as we head into the busy and exciting second half of the autumn term. This time of year is always filled with festive activities, learning opportunities, and school-wide events. Below, you’ll find some important dates to add to your calendars to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the wonderful things taking place over the coming weeks.

Important Upcoming Dates

  • Children in Need Day – Friday 14th November
    Pupils are invited to come to school wearing Pudsey-themed or spotty clothing in support of Children in Need. Activities will be taking place in classrooms throughout the day. Donations to the charity will be collected on the day.
  • Remembrance Day – Tuesday 11th November
    Class 2 will be taking part in a special act of remembrance, observing a 2-minute silence at Llanfechain Church.
  • Parents’ Evening – Wednesday 19th November
    Our rescheduled Parents’ Evening will take place on this date. Appointment schedules will be sent out next week.
  • Christmas Play Performances – Thursday 4th December
    There will be performances both in the afternoon and evening. More details, including costumes etc. will be confirmed soon.
  • Christmas Carols – Monday 15th December
    Join us a the local shop for a lovely selection of festive songs and music to celebrate the season.
  • Christmas Party – Wednesday 17th December
    A fun-filled day of games and celebrations for all pupils.
  • Annual Pantomime Trip – Thursday 18th December
    We’re excited to be heading to Theatr Clwyd to watch Cinderella.  Permission forms will be sent out in December.
  • Last Day of Term – Friday 19th December
    School will close for the Christmas holidays at the usual time.

A gentle reminder that the AfterSchool Club no longer runs on a Friday.  Please may we also request that pupils are collected prior to the closing time of 5:30pm to enable the supervising staff to finish on time and return to their own families.   We’re looking forward to a fantastic half-term full of learning, creativity, and festive cheer. Thank you for your continued support, and please keep an eye out for further updates and reminders as we get closer to these special events.
